NaBloPoMo Day 11 : Toronto

In Toronto tonight. Long day.

Sleeping in when on midnights means I woke up at 2am. Got bus to Hogtown at 8am. Checked in at hotel at 11:30am. Met Sora at a coffee shop at 1pm and we chatted for a good chunk of time. Supper near hotel at 5pm. Writing this at almost 9pm.

Might sleep for 10 hours. But have to stay up for UFC on FOX.

One funny thing today. Walking in Kensington Market. Where you expect to hear different types of music. Which did happen eventually. But first song I hear playing was a store blasting Jimmy Buffet ‘Margaritaville’. Toronto, that’s just wrong.

NaBloPoMo Day 10 : End of Busy Week

Rerun for the show tonight after a long week.  Worked six in a row which began with last Saturday.  Queen’s Football game, stayed downtown for 3 hours then worked 9 hour shift.  Going to Toronto for the weekend.  Come back on Monday and work that night at 11pm.  So I will attempt to keep up the daily posts on the weekend.  But not 100% on that.  If so they will be quite short.

As for yesterday’s post it was Holly Horton’s Birthday.  Confirmed it on Twitter.  So that worked out well.

@robertcarnell Wow, yes it is and thank you. Thanks also for that awesome blog posting. And happy early birthday to you too!

As for what I’m doing on the weekend I’m seeing Sora on Sunday afternoon. Interviewed her for the show before and she’s coming in for a show. Those in the Toronto area can check it out.

Interview with Sora as she’s coming to Toronto in November and some of her music.

Links to all interviews from 2009

Time for a blog entry with all the interviews from 2009.  One of those things where I knew there was a few but once I added them up it got to be a longer list than I though. [Added Allison Crowe which got lost in all the copy and paste I was doing]

Thanks to all those who gave time to be interviewed for the show in 2009. Time to go “Romper Room” and say thanks to Sora, Fergus, Ray, Andrea, Melanie, Tim, Melissa, Bryan, Ian, Toni Marie, Robin, Allison, Neate, Laurie, Gerry and Kirsten.  Whew.  Close to 18 hours of radio here so many weeks worth of listening if you missed some of them.

Sora on her latest CD and her music for this episode.
