Paralympic-esque Blog Day 4-6

Congratulations to more medallists from the Paralympics.

Lauren Woolstencroft with two Gold Medals. Women’s Slalom and Giant Slalom standing. One is impressive so two is quite an accomplishment.

Brian McKeever didn’t let a bad decision to keep him off the Olympic team get to him. He won a Gold Medal in Cross Country 20km Free, Visually Impaired. His brother Robin was his guide. The guides also get a medal.

Viviane Forest added another medal to go along with her silver earlier in the week. A bronze in Women’s Giant Slalom – Visually Impaired.

Karolina Wisniewska won a bronze in the Slalom – Standing as well.

Hard to watch the coverage as it jumps around. But worth watching if you can track it down. At work overnight and we had it on. Got into watching Wheelchair Curling highlights. Saw parts of Sledge Hockey too. A Korean fan in the crowd wearing a Winnipeg Jets jersey. A unique combination.

CTV came to their senses on one thing though. They will be showing the closing ceremonies live across the network and on RDS in Quebec. Sunday night at 7 pm local time, so 10pm for those of us in the eastern time zone. Sledge Hockey final at Noon local/3pm EST.
